5 Day Yoga Intensive Course
Our 5 day course is designed for beginners and intermediate yoga students. During the course you will be introduced to the foundations of yoga in both Ashtanga and hatha styles of yoga.
A long time experienced yoga teacher will explain you the right way of sequences and alignments of the poses in order to enable you to Self practice safely upon completion of the course.The course goes beyond asana practice and is complemented by classes of yogic philosophy,pranayama,mudras,mantras and meditation.
The benefits of the intensive Yoga Course
You will gain a deeper understanding of how to structure your yoga practice with the right choice of asana sequences and how to use them as corrective and rejuvenative tools.
Asana class-2 sets of 1.5 hour classes.one in the morning[ASHTANGA] and one in the afternoon[HATHA]
Ashtanga primary series and hatha yoga postures
Introduction and practice of 4 types of breathing tecniques:
Ujjai,nadi shodana,kapalbhati and brahmari
A brief Study of the 8 limbs of yoga and their application to modern life.
Introduction of spiritual and devotional literature.The bhagavadgita and the yoga sutras of patanjali.
Sanskrit sacred chants. You will learn to chant the Gayatri mantra,the most powerful mantra from the rig veda
You will learn and practice 3 types of meditation:
Tratak,silent meditation,Tibetan singing bowl sound meditation
Spiritual handgestures. An initiation into 3 healing and 3 spiritual meditation mudras.
Classes start every Thursday.from april to September in dharamsala ,north india and October to march in palolem,south goa.you will receive a 5 day course certificate from aranya yoga ashram school upon the completion of the course.
