Aranya Yoga Ashram is established with the aim of spreading the virtues of yoga across the world. Found by Krishna Das Baba, Aranya Yoga is a certified school for yoga training by Yoga Alliance. Krishna came up with Aranya Ashram to magnify the glory of yoga. Along with Krishna, experienced teachers from various parts of the country have come together in pursuit of sharing their wisdom of knowledge with keen seekers of yoga.
Yoga is a wider concept which consists of much more than what meets our eyes. It is more than the asanas and meditation. It is the art of living, the art of transforming your life! The way you think, believe, act and respond- everything will transform once you taste the goodness of yoga. Yoga also enables physical and mental healing.
We at Aranya Ashram offer various programs for the students which are hard to find elsewhere. The comprehensive approach is what makes Aranya Ashram different from others. We believe in giving our students a glimpse of various traditions from the Vedic age and ancient science of Ayurveda. After all, Yoga and Ayurveda go hand-in-hand. We also conduct several other classes such as Reiki- the art of healing through hands and intentions, Tibetan singing bowl sound healing therapy and Chakra/ Mandala Sacred Geometry- the in-depth introduction to the science and functions of main 7 chakras.
Our yoga teacher training course is designed after thorough contemplation keeping in mind the interest of the students. The course lays a strong foundation and enables each student to become a certified yoga practitioner for life. Whether you are at beginner, intermediate or an advanced level student, our course meets the need of every student. The dedicated and individual training approach of the tutors helps in bringing out the best in each student. The curriculum of the 200-hour YTT encompasses of learning postures, mantras, mudras, meditation techniques, yoga kriyas, methodologies, yoga history, and yoga philosophy.
Our gurus are the strong pillars of our Ashram. They have been an integral part while designing the training course for students. Each guru strives to offer their best of guidance and enable the students to become efficient tutors in future. The patience and perseverance of our gurus is what makes the journey easy for students.
Aranya works relentlessly to offer the best experience to its students. From accommodation to meals, we take care of every aspect so as to give them a peaceful and comfortable stay at Ashram. It is an altogether new experience for students to live in a natural Ashram like ambience and have a glimpse of the raw and authentic Indian culture.
Our philosophy behind coming up with Aranya Ashram is to promote individual growth. We firmly believe that yoga is not about mastering the asanas and postures, it is a journey for both the students and gurus. An individual evolves as he/she explores the deeper layers of yoga. Even a little progress each day adds up to great results. Yoga is not about perfection, it’s about accepting the imperfection, about self-love. It is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self!
We wish to establish a sense of self-worth and high self-esteem in people by giving a fair platform to all, the platform to practice forgiveness, compassion, gratitude, and kindness which are essential to lead our daily life. A flower does not think of competing to the flower next to it, it just blooms. The essence of any yoga training you pursue should reflect in your routine life. Yoga is not about touching your toes, it is what you learn on the way down. The yoga needs to be continued at every point in life, even after you have rolled up your mat.
Yoga is all about healing; it heals not only your body but also your soul. It works on the principle that your mind body and spirit are one. They say, ‘As you sow, so shall you reap’; we want people to reap the many benefits of yoga by adopting a ‘yogic living’ in their life. We believe that yoga is the ultimate way of living- it is an art, a science and a philosophy which leads us to a better life.
