The singing bowls have been used since ages for the purpose of meditation and healing. The singing bowl therapy is used to create a range of sounds that restore the normal vibratory frequencies of the ailing person. The therapy also brings the body mind and soul in harmony for effective healing. The sounds generated by the bowls are a kind of energy medicine which promotes healing. The therapy is used for getting relief from pain, depression, stress disorders and several other diseases.

HOW DOES THE VIBRATIONAL SOUND HEALING THERAPY WORK?

The healing process is initiated by entraining the brainwaves to synchronise with the resonance of bowls. The unique tones produced while therapy creates the perfect state of deep meditation, intuitive messages and creative thinking. The pure sonic waves ranging from the singing bowls awaken our ability to hear more than what our ears do. We start feeling the sound of the singing bowls as we take it in with our ears.

Dr. Mitchell Gaynor, director of Medical Oncology and Integrative Medicine at Cornell Cancer Prevention Centre, New York says, ”If we accept that sound is vibration and we know that vibration touches every part of our physical being, then we understand that sound is heard not only through our ears but through every cell in our bodies. One reason sound heals on a physical level is because it so deeply touches and transforms us on the emotional and spiritual planes. Sound can redress imbalances on every level of physiologic functioning and can play a positive role in the treatment of virtually any medical disorder.”

HOW DOES TIBETAN SINGING BOWL THERAPY HELP IN THE HEALING PROCESS?

It is said that illness is the manifestation of dis-harmony inside the body which means an imbalance in the organs or cells. All matter is energy vibrating at various rates and by altering those vibrations one can change the structure of matter. The sound from Tibetan singing bowls entertains the brain to move to the Theta brainwave frequencies which induce deep meditative state. It creates a sense of peace, clarity of mind and enhances intuitive power. The vibrations make an impact on our nervous system inhibiting the pain and stress response.

It is believed that diseases are caused because of the hindrance to the flow of energy in the body. Due to hindrance in energy flow, the particular organ or tissue stops vibrating at a healthy frequency causing weakness/illness. The sound frequencies restore the flow of energy in the body.

SOUND HEALING THERAPY AND BRAINWAVE ENTRAINMENT

The singing bowls is an ancient therapy for stimulating the brainwaves, which has its origin about 2500 years ago. Just like the modern therapy practiced with help of binaural beats & isochronic tones, vibrational sound healing therapy creates a pulsating tone which feels good and creates a relaxing effect. The more you listen to the sound of bowls, the deeper you relax. The advantage of the therapy is that our brain waves are toned to deliberately experience pleasant emotional and mental state.

Chakra Balancing

Chakras play an important role in our ancient system of healing which has its origin in India. Chakras are basically the energy vortexes in the body. Though standard yogic literature mentions only 7 chakras, there are hundreds of energy vortices in our body. The Chakras are a connection between our spiritual being and the physical body. The endocrine gland is associated with the main 7 chakras. As per Indian healing system, during a physical dysfunction, one or more chakras are blocked or unbalanced. Unbalanced chakras reflect a wide range of physiological, emotional and mental dysfunction.

The chakra balancing is the process of correcting the chakras so the endocrine gland and the associated organs begin to function efficiently. History proves that the balancing of chakras is done by someone who can either see or feel the chakras and their state of dysfunction. Then, they use the energy healing therapy to balance them.

The singing bowls stimulate the chakras to resonate in balance and induce healing in the tissue. The sound waves run the correcting frequencies through unbalanced chakras and rectify their functioning. Repeated listening to the sound waves over the time assists the mind and body in discarding the toxicity and diseases state while retaining the chakras and physical body in a state of balance.
